  Everyone in our family, from the grandchildren to the parents to the grandparents, look forward all year to our week together at the beach. It’s all about location, location, location. The well-equipped home looks out across a very large and relatively empty beach onto beautiful Monterey Bay, with the twinkling lights of Santa Cruz to the north, Monterey to the south, and fishing boats on the bay at night. Even after 35 consecutive years of vacationing on Beach Drive, every day brings something new and exciting from the ocean wildlife to the comings and goings along the promenade behind the homes. However, the Monterey Bay area is much more than just the beach. Aptos is a perfect location to enjoy all the other local attractions: the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, numerous golf courses and wineries, ocean fishing, and a range of county and state parks filled with hiking trails and scenic beauty.
