Sleeps 12, 5 bedrooms. 2 full baths. 1 has a bath tub. Parking for 3 cars in the newly paved driveway. Recently refurbished in 2015-2016, Built in 1883 This is a spacious 2,400 sq. ft. historic farm home that has belonged to the same family since 1912 with large Great Room windows and a 1200 sq.ft. redwood deck and a brick patio with a nicely sized outdoor table and a rock fire ring overlooking the Twin Lakes Beach and 7th Avenue Lighthouse, and the Harbor Beach, the Waves, the Sailboats gracefully drifting in and out of the Harbor.

Just 1/2 block to the beach. The kitchen and entertainment room have refinished hardwood floors, custom cabinetry, marble and butcher block counter tops and a mini bar. The entertainment room features a 60 inch flat panel screen and 5.1 surround sound system.

In The Great Room the Living Room and Dining Room are at each end with original hardwood floors and large wool oriental carpets. Dining table seats 8 (16 with the leaves).

The Master bedroom with a king bed has a wonderful view from large windows facing the lake and beach. It also has a private door on the downstairs bath. This bathroom has a shower/tub with handicapped rails and a door onto the hall. The 2nd floor has 4 bedrooms. The 1st upstairs bedroom has
2 Twin beds with a nice ocean view . The 2nd bedroom has 1-Double bed with large windows facing the lake and ocean. The 3rd bedroom has large windows facing the ocean a queen bed and two twin bunk beds. The 4th bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom upstairs is large with a shower and front loading laundry machines. All of the hardwood floors upstairs have been refinished.

The deck has a teak table with 8 chairs. There are four large adjustable deck chairs and a beautiful ocean view. the brick patio with the fire pit has 8 Adirondack chairs and a charcoal BBQ

WI-FI internet at the home. 5 min drive to Capitola, 5 min drive to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. 5 min walk to the yacht harbor.
all are easy are biking distance.

    This is the 2nd time booking this location. After the 2023 trip I asked my family if they wanted to rebook or try something new, and unanimously they said rebook.

    Location is key. The property is as represented in the pics and posting. Its comfortable and we had many a meal for 10 and multiple game nights.

    The kitchen is well equipped. I did bring a drink cooler the 2nd year as the fridge isn't large. Every kitchen doodad and doohicky is there for whipping up a meal.

    Did I mention the beach? Its right there.

    Will definitely book again!

    Our family of 10 ranging from 6-65 rented the house for a long weekend. The house was perfect for us with enough bedrooms and living space to give us room to spread out but also gather for games and meals. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The best part was the deck annd the view of the ocean. Would highly recommend.

    We had a great family vacation. This was our second year at this house, and we have put in our reservation for next year.
    The location is perfect with plenty of room for all of us.
    There are a few items that need to be upgraded. A LED strip should be installed around the uneven steps at the top of the stairs to avoid anyone tripping at night. The light switch midway on the rail is not in a good location. The lighting in the dining, sitting and TV area quite dim. The overhead fixtures need to be cleaned and brighter bulbs installed. For safety reasons, there should be an outside light to illuminate the back steps and the edge of the patio to avoid someone stepping off the deck since there is no railing.

    We were more than pleased with the property. I was concerned that this 140 years house would be cold & drafty, but it was quite comfortable. We did not need to use the heater at all. It has a nice TV, but we enjoyed the view so much we never watched TV at all. The beds & pillows were clean & comfortable; we all slept well. The showers were good; with 6 people taking showers we had plenty of hot water. The was a fairly new washer & dryer. This house has many picture depicting the history of this old, but charming house. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

    Location was good. Great view of beach and lagoon. Easy access to the beach. High trafficked area. Car noise. House worked ok, although we could have used another bathroom. For a house so close to beach, beach chairs and towels should be provided. The clothing dryer did not work properly. Needed to run it for a long while to get the clothing to dry. We had to request kitchen towels as there were only 2 provided for a weeks stay for 10 people. We were given an additional 2 which was inadequate. The deck and outside area was great and we enjoyed sitting on the spacious deck.
